The RHS Platinum Program is a true concierge level of service. In addition to receiving everything offered in the Gold Program, you will receive the following services.
Home/Workplace Physician Visits
Medical care will be provided at the convenience of your home or workplace when appropriate.
Home/Workplace Nursing Assessments
Your pre-physical workup, including health risk assessment, blood pressure screening, audiometry, body fat analysis, and blood work will be done by our nursing staff at your home or workplace.
Medical Concierge Attendant
Upon request, we will arrange for our medical personnel to accompany you to your specialist visit. They will be your advocate during the visit to interpret what is being explained and ask necessary questions. Dr. Whitney will brief the attendant about your problem prior to the visit, and if needed, they will contact him at the end of the visit to speak to the specialist.
Advanced Cardiovascular Assessment and Treatment
Standard of care is not optimal care. This approach to heart attack and stroke prevention is taught by the physicians at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic. It incorporates all of the best current evidence-based medicine in the field of preventive cardiology. Advanced radiologic, endocrine, cholesterol, inflammatory marker, and genetic testing will be used to develop a very personalized plan to optimally reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke. The program has proven to be so successful that Dr. Whitney will refund your yearly fee if you suffer a heart attack or stroke while in this program. A cardiologist is necessary when you have valve disease, heart failure, rhythm abnormalities, and blockages large enough to require procedures to intervene. This advanced program will make it less likely that you will ever need a cardiologist, or if you already have blockages, less likely that they will worsen.
Carotid Intima-Media Thickness (CIMT) Measurement
CIMT is an ultrasound that measures early plaque development in the carotid artery that can lead to stroke. Its use is supported by cardiologists. This technology is much more advanced than that done in "lifeline screenings" and helps guide the aggressiveness needed in your preventative cardiovascular program. CIMT is even of value in children/young adults with significant vascular risks.
Coronary Calcium Score
Similar to CIMT, this looks for early plaque formation in the arteries of your heart. It identifies plaque much earlier than a stress test can.
Lactate Threshold (LT) Testing
Lactate is a byproduct of exercise that leads to pronounced muscle fatigue and cramping. Your LT is the intensity of exercise at which your body can no longer clear the lactate adequately, resulting in rapidly rising levels in your blood.
Proper training can dramatically improve your LT. The value is used to most accurately write your exercise prescription, and is used to track your improvement over time. It is extremely helpful for endurance athletes to optimally plan their training efforts, minimize the risk of overtraining syndrome, and maximize their performance in competition. This testing system is regularly used by the US Olympic Team.
